Hi,
According to the commander, SDL2 and support libraries are being built now into a Release Candidate. He said the SDL2 wiki documentation is done by the community and not him. Can someone step forward and make/update the wiki documentation here: http://wiki.libsdl.org (people like me need SDL2, SDL2_Image, SDL2_Mixer, SDL2_TTF, & SDL2_Net 100% complete wiki documentation) I'm ready to jump into SDL2 2D video game development, but NEED full documentation to learn SDL2 and support libraries. Thanks! |

This sort of message, in my opinion, is not constructive at all. Do you think that if someone had the time and will to make the documentation better, they'd be waiting around for you to tell them that you "NEED" it so they can get started? -- Gabriel. |

What strikes me is that Jesse has a lot of experience with SDL 1.2, so he should be pretty good at documenting SDL 2.0. There aren't many significant conceptual differences (text input, windows), the bulk is just refactored APIs to make the interface more modern. Jesse, have you looked at the migration guide yet?

"100% complete wiki" is somewhat of an oxymoron. Ideally, make a note whenever a problem you have is not answered by the wiki - and then go back and update the wiki with the answer when you have found it. -CB _______________________________________________ SDL mailing list http://lists.libsdl.org/listinfo.cgi/sdl-libsdl.org |
