Havent had any problems on said laptop running opengl code using the freeglut library.

It seems that the screen turns dim at the SDL_SetVideoMode() function. I have only found a couple other references to this problem which i do not think lead to the.correct fault.

I am running Tiny Core Linux but it seems this isnt specific to TC.
