The SDL forums have moved to discourse.libsdl.org.
This is just a read-only archive of the previous forums, to keep old links working.

The new plan is that the system cursor will remain the way it is now,
a single cursor controlled by the OS, generating the mouse events you
know and love. We will be adding support for handling multiple
individual mice, but they will be using a separate set of events and
will not be tied to the system cursor.
