Visual Studio 2010/2012/2013 removed from latest version?

I've just downloaded the latest SDL version (from mercurial) and I've noticed that VS2010/12/13 solutions are not included.
Those projects have been removed? Why?

The Visual Studio projects and solution in the VisualC folder should work on VS 2010/12/13/15, I believe.

They possible will, but I know for sure that at least from 2008 to 2010 onwards a project conversion will take place. That's fine by me, I just found it strange that the projects have been removed.

There are separate projects for VS2008.

Alright, now I get it and makes sense.

There are 2 project files:
SDL_VS2008 and SDL.vcxproj (this one will open on vs2010 onwards).

Subject closed!
