The SDL forums have moved to discourse.libsdl.org.
This is just a read-only archive of the previous forums, to keep old links working.

libsdl.org archive permanence

Hello,

How permanent are the archives in libsdl.org/release?  If I were to write a script to http download a source release from that dir and distribute that script to my dev-users, would I be safe insofar as libsdl.org is maintained?

ex: http://libsdl.org/release/SDL2-2.0.4.zip

Thanks!

I don't think we have any intention to clean these out. I wouldn't rely on a prerelease version staying, but something official like SDL 2.0.4 probably won't go away.
